1) Warranty Coverage Overview

Unless stated otherwise on a specific product page, Move E Scooters provides a Limited Warranty that covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Coverage periods (default):

  • Scooter frame: Limited coverage for manufacturing defects
  • Electrical components (controller, display, wiring, lights): Limited coverage for manufacturing defects
  • Motor: Limited coverage for manufacturing defects
  • Battery: Limited coverage for manufacturing defects (battery performance naturally declines over time)

Some models may have a different warranty period or coverage scope. If your product page lists a different warranty, that product-page warranty applies.

2) What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal use, including:

  • Motor failure caused by a manufacturing defect
  • Controller or display failure caused by a manufacturing defect
  • Charging failure caused by a manufacturing defect (excluding damage caused by misuse)
  • Frame defects caused by manufacturing defects (not impact damage)

If the issue is confirmed as a warranty defect, Move E Scooters will do one of the following (our choice based on the situation):

  • Provide replacement parts, or
  • Repair the product, or
  • Replace the product (rare, for verified non-repairable issues)

3) What This Warranty Does NOT Cover (Common Exclusions)

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear (tires/tubes, brake pads, grips, cosmetic wear, scratches)
  • Damage from accidents, collisions, drops, water exposure beyond the scooter’s rating, or misuse
  • Damage from improper charging, incorrect voltage, or non-approved chargers
  • Unauthorized modifications, third-party parts, or repairs performed without approval
  • Improper assembly, improper maintenance, or failure to follow the user manual
  • Commercial/rental use (unless explicitly approved in writing)
  • Batteries with reduced range due to normal aging, cold weather, rider weight, hills, tire pressure, or riding style
  • Any issue caused by riding in unsafe conditions or beyond the scooter’s designed use

4) Water & Weather Disclaimer

Many scooters are not fully waterproof. Water damage is one of the most common causes of failure and is typically not covered unless the failure is clearly unrelated to water exposure.

If you ride in wet conditions:

  • Avoid deep puddles and heavy rain
  • Keep the charging port closed
  • Dry the scooter after riding

5) Shipping & Labor for Warranty Service

To keep this fair and clear:

  • Replacement parts: If the defect is covered, we ship the replacement part at no cost (standard shipping).
  • Labor costs: Installation labor is generally not covered, unless we explicitly approve it in writing.
  • Return shipping: In some cases, we may require the product (or part) to be returned for inspection. If required, we’ll provide instructions before you ship anything.

Do not ship a scooter to us without getting a return authorization and instructions first.

6) How to Request Warranty Service (Fastest Process)

To start a warranty claim, email info@moveescooters.com with:

  • Order number
  • Your full name + shipping address
  • Model name (example: Zero 9, Zero 8, WideWheel Pro)
  • A clear description of the problem
  • Photos and/or a short video showing the issue
  • When it started and any relevant details (error code, charging behavior, etc.)

We typically respond within 1 business day (often sooner).

7) Troubleshooting Before Warranty Approval

Many issues are quick fixes (and not defects). We may ask you to confirm:

  • Battery charge level and charger light status
  • Visible wiring connections (simple checks)
  • Error codes on display
  • Tire pressure / brake adjustments

This helps us solve problems faster and avoid unnecessary shipping.

8) Replacement Parts & Availability

We aim to keep common parts available. In rare cases:

  • A part may be temporarily out of stock
  • We may offer an equivalent replacement part when compatible
  • We may provide a repair plan or alternative solution

9) Limitations of Liability

This is a Limited Warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Move E Scooters is not responsible for indirect or incidental damages (such as lost time, missed trips, or inconvenience) arising from scooter use or inability to use the product.

Some states do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
